ME!
Born and raised in Chicago, 15 year-old Sean Escamilla Zielinski has a passion for all things storytelling. Whether he’s acting on stage & screen, writing sketches & screenplays, or producing & directing his own short film projects, Sean’s excitement for the craft is limitless. Recent credits include: The Full Monty (Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre), Zürich (Steep Theatre), and The Second City Youth Ensemble (The Second City, Chicago). Other highlights include: Die Zauberflöte (Lyric Opera of Chicago, dir. Neil Armfield) and the “Bitter Truth” music video (Iron & Wine).
Sean's Acting coaches include Brittani Ward, Sara Sevigny, Stef Tovar, & Scott Calcagno. He studies Voice with Matthew Ellenwood, and Improv at The Second City, Chicago. He is also studying Tap dance with Matt Crowle. Additionally, Sean attends workshops, classes, and camps at Accomplished on Camera, Acting Studio Chicago, Actors Training Center, and Roberta Duchak Vocal Studio.
Sean is a native speaker of Spanish and enjoys travel & learning about different cultures. In his free time, he enjoys filmmaking, sketch writing, and gaming. Sean's latest filmmaking project, Sky High, was recently awarded "Best Special Effects" and nominated for "Best Student Film" at the 2020 US Virtual 48 Hour Film Project (Chicago). He is currently working on directing a film shot entirely in virtual reality. His previous studies in piano & percussion have sparked his recent interest in DJ'ing as well as Digital Music Production. His album of 80's inspired dance music will be released online later this year. Swimming, dancing, & biking keep him active and he has fun by regularly watching classic TV series and streaming musicals & plays with his family. Sean dreams to land a future role in the touring cast of Be More Chill and looks forward to the day he can land a role in the Gremlins franchise!
